The workshop will focus on different fundamental components in the actor/dancer work such as co-operation, precision, presence, movement dynamics, reaction and responses. Physical theatre is about taking risks, breaking barriers and communicating ideas clearly.
Vivien Wood trained at the Royal Ballet for eight years as well as in classical and contemporary dance. She is considered one of Britain’s leading contemporary dancers. She has danced in Montreal, Sydney, Paris and Hong Kong with the Michael Clark Company and DV8 Physical Theatre. Currently, she divides her time working across the UK and Europe teaching contemporary dance companies and physical theatres, such as DV8 and National Dance Company Wales. She has been involved in creating movement scores for Teatr ZAR and Studio Matejka.
